How do I take care of Island Shop clothing?

Most of our pieces are made from natural, breathable fabrics like linen, viscose and cotton. To maintain their quality and shape, always follow the care instructions on the garment label. A general guide is provided below.

Care Instructions by Fabric:
Linen

  • Gentle hand wash in lukewarm water
  • Machine wash on a gentle cycle
  • Iron while damp to reduce wrinkles
  • Avoid bleach and tumble drying

Viscose

  • Hand wash in cold water
  • Machine wash on a delicate cycle
  • Iron on high heat if needed
  • Avoid bleach and tumble drying

Cotton

  • Hand wash or machine wash in cold or warm water
  • Iron on medium heat
  • Avoid bleach and tumble drying
Can I machine wash Island Shop clothes?

Yes, most items can be machine washed on a gentle or delicate cycle, depending on the fabric.

How can I prevent wrinkles in linen garments?

Linen naturally wrinkles, but ironing while the fabric is still damp helps smooth it out. You can also hang garments immediately after washing to reduce creasing.

We currently offer standard delivery.

Singapore:

  • Orders under 2kg: 7 – 15 business days, $5.00 SGD
  • Orders over 2kg: 7 – 15 business days, $10.00 SGD

Australia:

  • Orders under 2kg: 7 – 15 business days, $35.00 SGD
  • Orders over 2kg: 7 – 15 business days, $45.00 SGD

Brunei:

  • Orders under 2kg: 10 – 20 business days, $35.00 SGD

How can I track my parcels?

Once we start packing your order, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with your delivery details and a tracking link.

Why is my order taking so long?

We always aim to deliver your order within the estimated timeframe. However, delays may occur due to:

  • Stock restocking (especially during sales)
  • Bulk orders
  • Peak seasons and holidays
  • Customs clearance
  • Courier delays

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Why was my online order cancelled?

We apologise for the inconvenience. Sometimes, orders are cancelled due to issues such as:

  • Item being out of stock
  • Problems with the delivery address

You won’t be charged for cancelled items. Any payment made will be refunded within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.

What happens if my parcel is undeliverable?

If we’re unable to deliver your parcel based on the information provided, it will automatically be returned to Island Shop.

Will I be charged import taxes or customs duties?

Island Shop is not responsible for any import taxes, duties, or customs fees that may apply in your country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not refundable.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment options:

Can I pay using PayPal without a PayPal account?

Yes, you can. A PayPal account isn’t required to complete your purchase. You can use any debit or credit card supported by PayPal. However, we do recommend creating a PayPal account for easier checkout in the future.

Can my shipping address be different from my billing address?

Yes. During checkout, simply uncheck the “Same as billing address” box and enter a separate shipping address.

How to use discount/promo codes online?

Discount or promo codes can be entered at checkout. These codes are valid for use on islandshop.com.sg only. Codes are one-use only, and cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. Not valid on previous purchases.

Refunds, Returns & Exchanges
What is the return policy?

You have 14 days from the date you receive your parcel to return items.

Are refunds available?

Refunds will only be processed via the original payment method in cases where the item is out of stock or received in a defective condition. Please note that sale items are not eligible for refunds. Each customer is entitled to a maximum of five (5) refunds per calendar year.

What are the return conditions?

Items must be unworn, unwashed, and returned with original tags intact. Items purchased online cannot be refunded or exchanged at physical stores.

How do I return or exchange an item?

You may return or exchange your item within 14 days of receiving your order. Please ensure the item is in its original condition, unworn and with all tags attached.

Return by Mail:
Mail the item to: 48 Toh Guan Road East, Enterprise Hub #05-105, Singapore 608586
Shipping costs are to be borne by the customer. We are not responsible for lost parcels.

Return in Store:
Drop off your item at Island Shop, Marina Square. Find a store

Exchange by Mail:
Email hello@islandshop.com.sg or call +65 8800 5900 with your exchange request and preferred size. We’ll reserve the item for 3 business days.
